Well im back from the DNA conference, and it was unreal!!! we went out 3 hours from London to a base called the Kings Lodge, it was huge! there were 250+ people there from all different bases around the UK... one team from Scotland, and another from Whales, then the rest from within England... The speakers were all from the Stated, and the worship team was from Denver... my respect for YWAM grew so much, and i learned so much more about the organization... honestly i would reccomend YWAM to anyone and everyone... i have found so much growth through lectures and speakers... i was so suprised to learn exactly how much they actually do around the world... its unbelievable... but im not getting paid to plug YWAM on here... well im not getting paid at all... but if anyone is interested, please, please ask me, because i would love to even just tell you more of what its about... and i have this cool manual that defines all the bases... anyways...

The speakers for the week were the founder of YWAM Loren Cunningham, and his wife spoke one morning from Hawaii over a program called "genesis", the vice president of the University of the Nations David Hamilton, a man named Lynn Green, and the leader of the Denver bases Peter Warren... They were unreal, through them God revealed so much to me, and really instilled into me alot of great values and made me think alot!! Those guys have some UNREAL stories of how God has worked... i was in such aw of the power of God this last week...

The Kings Lodge...

The conference was held at the base, outside in a huge tent... the base could hold about 200 people, so we went and slept in a church every night... i guess its great missionary training... very hard floors!

One of the nights Jose let me pull up the van when i offered it to him... then after that i kinda just stayed in the drivers seat and he told me to drive to the church... so i very illegally drove my first time in England... and to make it a tad worse my Canadian liscense expired on October 8th last month... so im really not allowed to drive anywhere... but the po lice didnt get me so we're good... this thing was huge too, a 17 passenger van, plus right hand drive (wasnt bad) and left hand side of the roads... i flipping love all the round abouts here!! people actually know how to drive here!!

after that escapade, i had been waiting all week to play football... i had my boots on my bag all week and nothing had happened... but on thursday one of the dts's started a match and i joined up... we ended up losing, but i put 2 in for our team, and got really injured while doing it... my ankle is really sore and i have a sweet limp... the ground here is sooo soft, its so different than home... plus all the moisture it makes it so slippery... the grass was so wet and me and a buddy andy decided to do belly slides... i was the only one who ended up doin it, and it was epic... although i immediately regretted doing it as i was soaked...

i think this next weekend i will be going to the Harpenden base (where all the footballers were from)... i made alot of friends at that base, two guys from Calgary, a girl from ottowa, two girls from Salt spring island, a girl from the states somewhere, another girl and a guy from england, and a guy from whales... theyre all a blast! so i think im gunna head to their base on saturday for a lecture on Islamic culture, then hang out for the evening, and sunday go to church with them and then play a football match in the afternoon... so im really stoked to go there...

this weekend has been pretty laid back, yesterday (saturday) i just hung around home, cause im on weekend duty... so i cleaned the house and we made food and just relaxed... this morning we got us and went to church... i played bass for worship which was so much fun!! then we made lunch, and im about to make spagetti bolognase for dinner!! tomorrow we have what YWAM'ers call a "love feast"... its pretty much a pretty name for a YWAM party... we have to come in costume and there are a bunch of people comming to our base for it... so that should be so much fun...

this next week were back into our lecture phase, then just over a month until im home for christmas... im very excited to come home and see everyone!! i only have about 10 days at home, so im gunna try my best to see everyone... il think ill just start taking bookings... that sounds very conceeded... but take it as you will... after my christmas break, i come back here, then take off to Italy to live for two months... im so excited for that!! Flip ITALY!!!

so that brings you all up to date on my life until today... im having a great time and learning sooo much... i think i have changed a lot too! i guess you all will be able to tell me right? well until the next update, i love you all and God Bless!!!
